Take a look at some ways that the manufacturers of their vehicles less fuel thirsty for model year 2009:

Ford Escape - Ford SUV's Hot Sale is a hybrid model, but the biggest fuel economy gains for the year 2009 is the base model with 2WD. A new six-speed automatic transmission, variable valve timing (VVT) and power steering will help mpg highway mileage of 26 miles per gallon (mpg) to 28.

PontiacG5 - with its sister car, the Chevrolet Cobalt, the G5, now from a segment of 37 mpg for its leader XFE (extra fuel) have benefited from the model. Changes in gear ratio, low resistance tires, Goodyear, and the changes stopped to squeeze an extra 1 mpg highway car GM has helped.

Chrysler Sebring - with its sister model, the Dodge Avenger, Sebring mid-sized sedan will be 31 mpg highway, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry secondsFuel consumption. Chrysler change intervals credit development and use of more economical compressors for air conditioners to help these cars to save fuel.

While all these benefits are certainly a good thing, the best cars are still to come. GM, for example, announced that its new Chevrolet Cruze will get 45 mpg, when it appears in 2010. Shortly before that, an efficient Ford Fiesta will be with the 40 mpg fuel topping debut. Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen, Nissan, and some other manufacturers have other models in the works that should make the segment of 40 mpg pretty full.

So when you buy a new car, carefully check the labels - profits were, but you need to know exactly who is available to them.
